PERSONA 5 Special Big Band Concert 2025

About the album:

The Persona 5 Special Big Band is a Jazz orchestra and concert series that performs big band and orchestral arrangements of music from the internationally beloved video game Persona 5, led by Grammy Award-winning arranger and multi-instrumentalist Charlie Rosen who after being nominated for his arrangement of “Last Surprise” from Persona 5 was asked to expand the entire sound track into a thrilling full live show of the game’s sound track. The “Persona” series of games developed by ATLUS is incredibly acclaimed, and it’s sound tracks have gone on to have a life of their own and are widely adored by fans of video game music across the globe.

The live adaptation of this sound track features around 30 top-tier musicians from the United States and Japan, including prominent players like Eric Miyashiro, Eijiro Nakagawa, Andrew Gould, Matthew Whitaker, Zac Zinger, Jared Schonig, and prominently features the beloved vocalist from the original game Lyn Inaizumi, reimagining Shoji Meguro's acclaimed jazz, funk, and soul-infused video game soundtrack into full live big band and string arrangements.

Recorded live in Tokyo after a series of 6 sold out concerts across Japan in 2025, this album highlights the way in which video game music can be ample fodder for the ever expanding world of Jazz, large ensemble music, and live orchestras! Thank you for listening and supporting!
